Oregon born and raised, I hail from a little town called Eugene which isn't so little anymore.​ I grew up in typical Eugene fashion: Saturday markets, Em's Games, camping, playing in the mud, and saving snails from puddles.

Now I am 19 and I eat snails. Ah, la vie française. Si romantique. How does one go from snail-saving to snail-inhaling, anyways? Follow me on a journey that traverses oceans, languages, and excessive amounts of paperwork: ;-) Depaysement is a mini blog dedicated to studying in France.
